Dave Lane
In 2003 Dave was 23st 4lb and wearing the trousers you see above. Due to health issues and stern advice from his doctor, Dave decided enough was enough and it was time to do something. He embarked on a regime of healthy eating and gentle exercise.
Dave contacted me when he was stuck at 17st 4lb. After a fitness test and food diary check we embarked on a vigorous training plan. It wasn't long before the weight started to come off again. Currently he is down to 15st 2lb. He now competes in local 10km races with us and his goal for 2007 was acheived when he completed the Swindon Half Marathon. As Dave says " If you really want to do it you can, the only person stopping you is yourself".

Jack Groves Racing KMS
British Superbikes & European Motorcycle Racing rider Jack Groves was referred to me for personal training.
After fitness testing Jack, it became obvious that we needed to work on improving his general fitness levels. This meant VO2 max (Oxygen intake) upper, lower body and more importantly core stability.
By increasing his core stability this will provide his body with central body control, and allows him to generate power by maximising the efficiency of his muscular effort, thus aiding him during racing.
I wanted to increase the efficient use of his muscular power, improve his posture, balance and hand to eye co-ordination. We do use a lot of Boxing and Martial Art skills to improve this and also his reaction skills.
I have also analysed his Diet and Nutrition needs, by looking at a weekly food diary and giving him a suggested eating plan, this also provides Jack with all the correct vitamins, minerals he requires. It also gives him more energy to meet his very active lifestyle.
We have also increased his water intake as during training and racing he will loose a lot of fluid so it is important to keep him hydrated at all times.
As his Personal Trainer, its great to see a young man so determined to do his best, he has the ability to really turn a few heads this year and with his Fitness Levels improving he has already shown that all his effort during our training sessions are paying off. All I can say is watch out everyone here comes Jack!

Jamie Leighfield
Jamie wanted to enter her first Sprint Triathlon, although an accomplished swimmer and cyclist, she needed help with her running. After her Fitness Test it became apparent that we we had to work on her VO2 Oxygen intake and overall general fitness, flexibility was there but upper, lower and more importantly core strength needed improving.
Over the next few sessions we worked together and I saw major improvements in all areas, her confidence grew and she became more focused on the up coming challenge. She completed the course in terrible windy weather conditions and has now decided to do another one!

Christine Cockerton
Chris wanted to run The 2006 London Marathon to raise as much money as she could for Dr Banardos. The only problem was she had entered, got a charity place it was January and the race was in April, she had not trained and was obvisously worried. After fitness testing, we had to start with just about managing running a mile together but over the coming months we slowly increased her distance, she ran with me twice a week and her husband Adrian also cycled with her for more training runs. I got her to enter Reading half marathon just before London to give her a taste of a race atmosphere. Then came the big day, nervous but ready, Chris completed the course in 5hrs 10 Mins. All credit to her determination and focus and proves if you want to do something you can if you put the effort in!
PS Since this she has entered London 2007

Aaron Parker
I was iniatially contacted by Aarons auntie who was concerned about his health. Aaron was constantly ill and frequently visiting his Doctors, with breathing, joint problems etc.
We eventually arranged a meeting, talked through hopes fears and goals. After the Fitness test it became apparent that we had a lot of work to do with VO2, BMI, Body Fat and Nutrition being the main targets.
We have been training together now for 18 months and from the above photograph of 22st 10lbs he now weighs 15st nearly an incredible 8st weight loss as seen in photograph below. Aaron takes part in all our races and with his new confidence arranged and led a 11 mile walk for 27 of us along the Ridgeway in march. He takes part in the Swindon Fun run again this year, proving that anyone can do it. In his own words how he did it............"Willpower!"

Jo Weller
A December wedding, dress fitting deadline these were our targets. After the usual fitness test, it became apparent that we had to improve her general fitness. With regular PT sessions and training targets I gave Jo, we soon saw a steady drop in weight, we increased her aerobic fitness to such a level that she completed two local 5 mile races in excellent times. She also due to a better eating and exercise regime lost over 2st. She looked and felt great on her big day all credit to Mrs Jo Weller!.
